I see I need to dig into the website. didn't know this was available.
Lunch was fun and informative! I checked out Tech Republic, it looks like a very good resource.
Talk to you soon,
Dave

Profile Information

What company (companies) do you represent?
Written Right (as principal)
Website:
http://www.writtenright.com
Where is your personal office? (City, State/Province, Country)
San Mateo, CA
USA
Where do you personally sell?
I work with companies in the San Francisco Bay Area and across the United States.
Describe your company's offerings
Written Right provides business copywriting and editing services.

We create professionally-written brochures, case studies, data sheets, press releases, website content, white papers, and other business documents for companies in a wide variety of industries.
Which industry do you represent? (How would a client or partner label your service offering?)
Marketing, Software
Which titles make purchase decisions for your offerings?
CEO/Owner, Marketing
Do you target specific types or sizes of companies? If so, please explain.
I work comfortably with single proprietors, well-funded technology start-ups, and large enterprises such as Cisco and HP.

What my clients have in common, regardless of their size, is respect for the writing process and an understanding that they probably should not be doing their business writing themselves.
Who are your power partners? (Who refers business to you? What business are they in?)
My ideal power partners are:
. Graphic designers
. Website designers and developers
. PR firms
. Marketing / marketing communications consultants
. Printers
What are some symptoms that a prospect might need your offering?
The following comments are dead give-aways:
. We've got a launch in two months and not enough headcount to write the brochures and web content.
. I've got too many other things to do. I just don't have time to do the writing, even if I were good at it.
. Our ace writer has decided to change fields, and now we're high and dry.
. Our technology is sophisticated, and we need someone who "gets it" quickly.
. The consultant we're working with strongly recommended that we have a professional do the writing.
What differentiates you as a possible business partner?
In a word -- actually two -- customer service.

I park my ego at the door when I become your business partner. My goal is to make my clients happy not only with the quality of my work but also with my flexibility and professionalism.
